First3Years Receives Grant from George and Fay Young Foundation
The George and Fay Young Foundation grants First3Years $50,000 to help the organization advance its mission of educating, advocating, and collaborating to ensure the social and emotional health of infants and toddlers in Texas.
The grant comes at an exciting time as the organization expands programming and strengthens its internal capacity to build on past successes, reach more professionals, engage more parents, and foster new collaborative relationships.
“We share the vision of George and Fay Young in creating positive, sustainable solutions for North Texas,” says Sadie Funk, First3Years Executive Director. “We believe in investing in the future of our communities, starting with giving babies a stronger, better start. We’re so honored to be selected as a grantee, and more importantly, a partner in this vision.”
The George and Fay Young Foundation seeks to foster learning by improving access to opportunity and strengthening communities through sustainable solutions. It was founded as a charitable trust in 1985 and incorporated in 1993 by longtime Dallasites George and Fay Young, who believed strongly in giving back to the community. Their legacy is carried on today by 2nd and 3rd generation family members.
