In July, First3Years was officially approved by the Board of Trustees of the DFW Hospital Council to become an Associate Member of the trade association.
The DFW Hospital Council unites North Texas hospital and industry leaders to advance quality healthcare in the region. With over 47 years of collaboration and driven by elite members, the hospital council provides education sessions, networking opportunities and competitive intelligence.
Working in coordination with Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings, the DFW Hospital Council kicked off the infant brain development campaign “Growing Little Minds” this summer.
We’re proud that Patty Miller, longtime First3Years member and owner of The Power of Nurturing Care served as adviser on “Growing Little Minds,” providing important expertise and perspective on infant and toddler social and emotional development.
“It was such a pleasure to work on this project!” says Patty. “The people involved are dedicated to providing information and resources to parents of new babies. Growing Little Minds tips can be accessed on Twitter and Facebook as well as during mothers’ hospital stay.”
“Collaboration is one of our core values, ” says Sadie Funk, First3Years Executive Director. “It’s such an honor to join the DFW Hospital Council community – and to have this opportunity to work closely together in improving the lives of North Texans.”
