As one of the first in Texas to receive the Infant Mental Health Mentor - Clinical Endorsement twenty years ago, Barbara has had the honor and pleasure of providing Reflective Supervision/ Consultation to many individuals who were themselves seeking Endorsement or just felt the need for a safe place to process the emotions around their work. Barbara is a certified elementary school teacher with a special education endorsement, and has a Master's of Science in Human Development and Early Childhood Disorders from the University of Texas at Dallas. She worked in Early Childhood Intervention as a home visitor, program administrator, infant massage educator, and reflective supervisor. She serves on the UTD Center for Children and Family Advisory Council. Barbara was fortunate to have been mentored by Dr. Bill Schafer of Michigan as she learned about reflective practice. It is especially rewarding to know that some of her supervisees wish to go on to provide reflective supervision to others. Barbara is also the mother of two and grandmother of three.
