Fall in Love with Babies
Why Support First3Years?

Fall in love with our tiniest Texans this autumn and explore all the wonderful ways to promote healthy development in early childhood.

Fall is a time of tradition and repetition. Repetition is great for brain development and trickles back to the critical need for routine. New skills are learned through practice and repetition within a safe and nurturing environment. The more you support a child’s endeavor to practice and master new skills, the stronger they grow.

Beginning at birth, babies depend entirely on their caregivers to explore the world. A baby’s need to form close connections and secure relationships is as critical as their need for food. Building a strong emotional connection with your baby supports your child’s lifetime of learning. Relationships are the vehicle that helps drive that development. Fall is a time where they can be taught new skills with the consistency of parenting and the strong importance of creating those strong routines. By the time a child is three years old, over 85% of their brain has already been developed.

Our mission to support the early development and infant mental health of children zero to three brings programming geared towards very young children could not be done without your support!
